A little honest PSA from your local plumbing world…
If you’ve called a plumber lately and had to wait or even had to find someone else because we’re booked out, there’s a reason.
Across the country there is a massive shortage of skilled/licensed tradespeople. Plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs… you name it. Many of the older generation are retiring, and not enough young people are entering the trades to replace them.
So the math is simple:
More houses.
More repairs.
Fewer plumbers.
That means sometimes we simply cannot get to every job, no matter how much we would like to.
When we say we’re booked or scheduling out, it’s not because we don’t care. It’s because there are only so many plumbers and only so many hours in a day.
The reality is, if communities want faster service from tradespeople in the future, we need to start encouraging the next generation to learn trades again instead of pretending every career has to come from a college degree.
Until then, we’ll keep working as hard as we can to take care of the customers we’re able to get to.
And we genuinely appreciate the patience from those who understand. 🙏
