This one was caught just in time. B phase lost the connection in this 240v 30 amp outlet for a dryer. It’s supposed to grab each prong of the cord male connection but it was loose and arcing/burning. When I showed the homeowner how loose it was, one side snapped. When it’s trying to make an electrical connection it needs to be tight or it will arc to find the connection point. Outlet and cord replaced just in time.

2 dedicated 20 amp circuits for a soon to be enclosed grilling section at a house. When the structure is built I will add a switch for lighting and more outlets. These are both GFCI protected. A little digging after we popped in it of the house but we are now ready for the structure to be built on the back of the shed.

Final inspection passed! Electric turned out great! Beautiful work by our other company Young Home Improvements, LLC. Back area with the ceiling fan will be a gym with mats.

A service call for exit signs and double landing neutrals with double landing neutrals and grounds together. Most manufacturers will let you double land grounds under the same terminal screw but NEVER 2 neutrals or a ground and neutral together. Failed home inspection for this electrical issue. I added a new ground bar which was drilled and threaded per the nec for a solid bond. Ground and neutrals can be on the same bars with this set up because in houses before 2020 the main panel is the first means of disconnect where bonding takes place.

Also every home run/ckt landed on each screw were super loose and not making solid contact which can cause arcing and potentially a fire. I torqued them to the correct setting and everything is good to go now! Both of these jobs were done for KB Home Services Kenny Bowen. Ps I cleaned the panel wiring up after I took pictures of the corrections but forgot to take that picture.

Houston we HAD a problem. A good friend of mine needed a service call today for his dryer tripping the breaker whenever he turned it on. The old 30 amp dryer plug had burned up and ended up shorting the cord as well. Problem solved! It’s a good idea to check your cord and plug appliances especially on 240v to potentially stop what could become a fire hazard.
