We love seeing a project come together!
With Goodenow Field events, the Maquoketa Area YMCA, youth sports leagues and camps, special events like Trunk or Treat, and the added traffic of grain-hauling season on Summit Street, this area can get very busy—sometimes all at once.
Improving parking, accessibility, and safety here was an important priority and was specifically identified as a higher-risk concern in the City’s Traffic Safety Action Plan.
We fully expect the new Splash Pad to bring even more activity to this area during the summer months. This improvement will help provide residents and visitors with safer, quicker, and more convenient access to what will be a one-of-a-kind community amenity.
Great work by Manatt’s for keeping this phase on schedule and everything moving in the right direction. Next up: Sheets Design Build gets started on the Splash Pad itself!
