It's Project Manager Month at Alair, and this week we're spotlighting Jonathan Sanford, project manager at Alair Tri Counties.
Construction wasn't Jonathan's first career choice, but over the last 10 years, it's become work he loves: full of community, creativity and constant learning. Each project represents the combined effort of many people working toward the same goal, and as a project manager, Jonathan gets to be involved throughout the entire process.
He's always enjoyed complex problem-solving, and construction is full of it. Whether it's a design idea in conflict with structural parameters, an unforeseen issue in the field or the logistics of a hard-access job site, the need for creativity is everywhere. One of the things Jonathan has learned in construction is to ask the "stupid" question. Having built more than 50 homes and navigated numerous remodels between California and Hawaii, he's consistently amazed at the depth of every trade involved.
Outside of work, Jonathan spends most of his time with his wife and son. Between surfing, playing board games and cooking, he's always picking up something new. Guitar and gardening are the most recent additions.
Project managers like Jonathan are often the face of Alair for homeowners throughout a project, and this month is about recognizing that.
