It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of Allen Tiffany, the beloved former owner of Gregg Roofing. Allen passed away this week, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and love for his customers, as well as a rich and fulfilling life with his cherished wife.

Allen's commitment to excellence and his genuine care for the people he served were the cornerstones of his work at Gregg Roofing. His passion and integrity have shaped our company, and his spirit will continue to inspire us as we move forward.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Allen's family and friends during this difficult time. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the positive impact he had on so many lives.

Thank you for being a part of the Gregg Roofing family and for your continued support.

If your commercial roof leaks, does that mean you need a new roof? If you guessed no, you might be right. An old or deteriorated roof may require a complete replacement, but a newer or well-maintained roof could just need a minor patch or other repair. The best way to know for sure is to call for an inspection.

Metal roofs are one of the only roofs that can be installed all year round, including the dead of winter. This is because metal roofs are impervious to the elements and neither excessive rain nor heavy snowfall will impact them.

No matter how fast light is, darkness always seems to get there first. Disperse the darkness during the day, and shed new light on all your indoor activities. With lower electricity and energy bills, you will be glad you did.

A major benefit of Solatube daylighting systems is that they provide better light diffusion than traditional skylights. Instead of only lighting the space directly below, special optics are used to spread the light out and diffuse it throughout the room.

Thatch style roofs have been used for a long time. The reason why they have been used for so long is because thatch is naturally waterproof. If installed properly, the roof can prevent water, sleet and even snow.

So what exactly is a tubular skylight? This is a highly mirrored tube that extends from the rooftop and into the interior space. Basically, these tubes are able to provide natural, free light from the sun during the daylight hours.

Care to guess how much raw steel was used to produce metal roofing in 2011? That would be 650,000 tons. It may surprise you to learn that every ounce of that steel is completely recyclable too.

There are some key differences between skylights and Solatubes: A Solatube assembly can be small, starting at around 10 inches across. This is significantly smaller than a conventional skylight. Solatubes can also be installed in roof locations where skylights aren't practical.

What’s the difference between a wood shake and a wood shingle? Shakes are more irregularly shaped and are thicker than shingles. Individual shingles are more precisely created, and therefore, each shingles is very close in appearance to the next.

In warm climates, Solatube delivers natural daylight without adding to your headaches. Large windows let in lots of sunlight, but they also let in heat. Our daylight systems let the sunlight in, but block heat gain, so you use less energy and stay cooler.

In the 18th century, the slate industry was slow growing, but it really got off the ground in the latter part of the 19th century. One center of this industry was in North Wales, where slate was mined instead of quarried. At that time, two of the world’s largest slate quarries could both be found in Wales.
