📚 CONTINUING TO GROW — IN BUSINESS AND BEYOND! 🌱🚑

At DeBloois Landscaping, we believe that continuing education is one of the best investments we can make — both personally and professionally.

Derek is officially heading back to school to pursue his EMT license, while continuing to operate and grow DeBloois Landscaping.

But the education doesn’t stop there.

🌱 Derek will also be beginning the process of pursuing his Delaware Nutrient Management Consultant certification, further expanding his knowledge of soils, plant nutrition, nutrient planning, and responsible turf management.

🪲 Then, this spring, the next goal is pursuing his 7B General Pest Control certification, allowing us to continue expanding the professional services and expertise we can offer our customers.

Running a business while continuing your education isn’t always easy, but we believe our customers deserve someone who is constantly learning, improving, and investing in their craft.

Every certification, every class, and every hour spent learning ultimately helps us build a more knowledgeable and well-rounded company.

The goal is simple: never stop learning, never stop improving, and continue building DeBloois Landscaping into a company our community can depend on.

🌱 FALL IS FOR SEEDING — SPRING IS FOR PRE-EMERGENT! 🌱

If your lawn is thin, bare, or struggling after the stress of summer, fall is the time to do something about it.

These photos show exactly what proper seeding and lawn care can accomplish. A thin, tired lawn can be transformed into a thicker, greener and healthier stand of turf — but timing plays a huge role in the results.

At DeBloois Landscaping, we strongly encourage our customers to complete major overseeding projects in the fall rather than waiting until spring.

Why? Spring is when we want to focus on crabgrass prevention. Most traditional pre-emergent products work by creating a barrier that prevents seeds from successfully establishing — and unfortunately, they don’t know the difference between unwanted crabgrass and the grass seed you just paid to put down.

By seeding in the fall, we can take advantage of warm soil temperatures, cooler air temperatures, increased moisture and reduced summer stress. This gives new turf time to germinate, establish roots and mature before next year’s heat arrives.

Then, when spring rolls around, we’re able to stay on schedule with a proper pre-emergent application to help prevent crabgrass without interfering with your new grass seed.
