Grandview On Hudson is Complete!

3 years ago, we completely renovated the first story of this unique, riverside home.

This year, we were called in to remodel the 2nd story and to finish the untapped attic space. We reframed the existing structure, installed closed-cell spray foam for extra comfort, new electric, a last-minute custom wet-bar and a brand new staircase.

Wide plank European White Oak flooring sets the tone, while the real masterpiece is the refaced brick chimney, separating the new office area from the lounge. Subtle white oak accents are just enough to not take your eyes away from that sexy new railing....

A big thank you to Steve Conforti and his crew from WK Mechanical for making the overhead ductwork disappear, and for coming up with the right solutions to heat and cool this new space.

I've spent weeks in this bathroom, picking apart the tiles, critiquing my own work, and even redoing what was done the day before.

Please don't give wavy, handmade tiles to tile guys with OCD.

What's better than finding a new room you never knew you had!

We found this gigantic, unused attic space while renovating the master bathroom in this Campbell Hall home.

We re-framed the rafters to add more height, added a window for natural light, closed-cell spray foam, and a few finishing touches make this new room look like it's always been here.

Check out this 12 foot, His and Hers walk-in shower! Spacious enough to shower together, yet stay separate. Meet me at the rain-head....

No more fighting over hot water with this overly spacious and well thought-out shower. Each side is equipped with it's own showerhead and hand-held. As always, we heat our shower floors and seat for extra comfort.

2 zones of radiant heat, 1 for the bathroom and 1 for the shower area.

Wainscoting panels complete "The Look".

What was once a storage closet in an abandoned part of the basement, is now a part of this homeowner's new daily routine.

We installed DitraHeat in the floor, shower-floor and shower-seat. A fog-free mirror is a must with the Delta steam shower unit.

I spent all that time tiling, just for the toilet to be referred to as a "work of art"....

No Monkeying Around

I haven't posted any of our finished projects in a while.

Here's a unique master bathroom remodel we did in Campbell Hall, New York.

We removed the never used builder's tub and relocated the shower. Dad gets his steam shower and Mom gets 24 x 48 Porcelain wall tiles and a new makeup vanity.

I've built many masterpieces for my clients over the years. This is my Michelangelo that I leave behind to my family, in hopes that they continue to build generations of memories at the lakehouse.

I took a few months off from my projects to finish our lakehouse basement in the Catskills. It's hard doing work for myself, because I am my pickiest customer. I went all out on this one.

The entire living space was designed and built by yours truly. Completely designed around a pool table that won't be ready until after Christmas 🙄

I brought in 12 inch cedar logs to match the rest of the house. Tounge and groove cedar planks, stone, and full granite slabs compliment each other tastefully. My wife is always cold, so we installed closed-cell foam insulation in every floor, wall, and ceiling cavity, 4 zones of radiant in-floor heating, 2 zones of HVAC and the wood burning stove should be enough to keep Jenn out of her Ugg slippers and robe.

The 9 foot granite slabs and shower seat are also heated, just incase someone feels like having their back up against the wall...
