Tip of the day: Look into Rev-a -shelf and Hardware Resources. They have thousands of cabinet accessories for making storage easier to organize and clean. These are the top two companies. I sell a ton of each each year. High quality stuff with tons of options. These are NOT the no label, chinese junk on Amazon, but good quality stuff.

Kitchen Tip of the day: COUNTER DEPTH FRIDGES ARE USELESS. There. I said what I said.

They are a space saver. They have a clean look. And don't protrude into the walkway like a normal side by side. BUT THEY ARE 1/3 SMALLER THAN A REGULAR FRIDGE. Any family will fill one up first trip to the store. There is no room for leftovers, a case of drinks, or medium volumes of food. I have never had a customer use one that liked it more than a few months. They all have quickly realized they are over-hyped and over priced.

Tip of the day---Painted cabinets are gorgeous. White is timeless. but painted cabinets show their age and abuse early. Paint from even 15 years ago is so much better than what we buy now. Consider this when deciding your forever home. Most cabinets will last a lifetime. The finish is the first to go. Abuse, improper cleaning, oils, and water break down the finish, naturally and accidentally.

Consider a stained cabinet. they will age better, hold their looks and not show every blemish, fault, glue joint or chip like painted. And when they are ready to refinish, give them a coat of paint and save yourself thousands in redoing them again!

Soap dispensers made in the countertop don't suck anymore. They are cleanable, refillable from the top, and often come with a new faucet.

Kitchen Tip of the Day:

Talk to your HVAC person during the build process of your kitchen. There are a ton of regulations regarding ventilation for new construction homes for the stove and vent hood area. They have to be vented outside, or into a charcoal/stainless filter setup. Your HVAC person has to install this to code during his HVAC install as it is part of their permit process. No-one else can do this..

We work side by side with the electricians, plumbers, HVAC and contractors to help with these type issues.
