35 acres in Van Zandt County cleared & in the process of being burned. Last step in the clearing process is to root rake.

Due to weather & burn bans, this process has taken us just over a month. Once we are complete, the customer will have 1/4th of his property back IOT grow grass & bail hay for his bucking bulls.

Phase 2 involves building a 5 acre lake along the northwest property line. This area stays wet year round due to a natural spring that already fills a 1/4 acre pond (see photos). The water is beautiful & blue!

Compaction is key in every aspect. Without it, footings will move, ponds will leak and erosion will occur. Drainage is also a main concern. No one wants water draining towards their structure nor do you want water shedding away from a pond.

Let’s cut to the chase. Odds are, if you’re seeing our ad, it’s because you or someone you know has a property that needs to be prepped (clear vegetation) for X Y Z reasons. We want YOU to be informed on the different ways we clear property and the pros/cons that coincide with that service.

1. Mulching:
This service is GREAT by itself for clearing brush & saplings off your property! We can also mulch trees with this tool as well however, this service does NOT remove the vegetation that grows in the ground. So if you plan on building a house where a property was mulched, chances are you will have compaction issues and possible foundation issues after a root ball decays. Mulching leaves a layer of wood chips across the entire property. This is one of the most cost effective services.

2. Excavation & Dozing:
This service is our favorite simply because of our customer feedback. We use an excavator & dozer to push over trees & dig up root balls. Once completed, we can either push the vegetation into a pile to be burned or use the mulcher to grind the vegetation into small wood chips. This typically leaves the property ready to be excavated for a structure to be built or ground to be tilled & food plots planted. This service is the most expensive because it requires multiple machines & multiple operators to perform.

We got a call from a potential client who had roughly 1/4 acre of land that was saturated with water year round. He was having issues with mowing simply because his mower would get stuck. His entire property is built on farm land. Some of y’all know it as black land. Our client is an avid fisherman so he requested we built him a pond for his family to enjoy. 🎣

Clay content was amazing on this property which means big savings in terms of not having to haul in clay. As we excavated a new pond for our customer, he was busy making fish habitat to place in the pond. While digging, we noticed that we hit a natural spring which brought up beautiful blue water. Needless to say, we don’t think he will ever have a water level issue.

We provide our customers with as many options as possible. From using our smaller equipment to build a small pond, to using our large dozers, scrapers & haul trucks to construct multi-acre lakes, we make sure we have the solution to our customers problem.

When looking for a contractor to build a pond, don’t go with the cheapest option. What I’ve learned in this industry is that the barrier of entry is very low. There are a lot of contractors who get into this line of work because they think it’s simple. Which usually means that they don’t invest the time to learn how to identify potential problems or learn the correct procedures to properly construct a pond nor do they invest in equipment & technology. Things like lasers & GPS grading systems that ensure accurate slopes & elevations.

We have a saying, “buy right, or buy twice”. Now, a contractor cannot guarantee that a pond will hold water unless it’s lined but, hiring a contractor who knows proper procedures & can identify potential problems will increase the chances of your pond holding water.

We recently had a contractor hire us to clear a right-of-way to a new AT&T tower being placed in Grand Saline, Tx along the rail road. Project required the removal of all vegetation from the 65’x65’ pad site where the tower will be placed & mulching a 20’x300’ easement to the pad. Project took roughly 2 days to complete.

When choosing us to clear your land, just know that you’re getting more than just a cleared property. You’re getting a company who invests time into their equipment to ensure we clear as much land as possible. We rotate out our equipment often so we spend less time dealing with breakdowns and more time clearing your land.

The key to life is having a solid foundation for everything you do!

This project was another easy task for a great customer of ours. We’ve been on his property the last few weeks clearing invasive vegetation when he got the idea of building the biggest, baddest man cave shops around. The pad spans roughly 60’x110’.

1. We started by clearing out the pad site area. Most vegetation was mulched and some of the larger trees were piled.

2. Once we started excavating the pad, we noticed that the dirt did not have enough clay content so we opted to haul in roughly 300 yards of select fill from a local dirt pit. Once on-site, we spread the dirt in lifts to ensure we get good compaction.

We try our best to be the company who can help all customers. We may purchase things like GPS to cater to those who want their dirt work perfect but we also understand that it’s not always affordable for everyone. This is why we offer multiple options & do our very best to insure our customers are happy.
