Nice 32sq approval for wind damage! Homeowner shingles were discontinued but without the proper documentation the homeowner would have been stuck with multiple small repairs around the roof. These repairs would have failed in the near future and we were able to successfully communicate that with the carrier.

This started off as a repair for the 2ft plus overhanging that was falling down. It was being held up by a brace someone installed onto the wall underneath the overhang to keep it from completely separating.

The repair originally was to rip off enough shingles to install 1 by going up the eave from top to bottom until the eave became level again. Once we opened up the roof, we found a total of 3 layers of shingles which ultimately led to tearing the entire section off.

Previous owner recently reroofed the other side but did not do the side that involved all of the additional work such as side walls, headwalls, 2 chimneys with one that needs a cricket, and enough wood replacement to raise both eaves.

This job is one that feels good to look back at and admire the hard work that goes into doing things correctly. I am very happy to have helped this homeowner bring their home back to life.

As a homeowner, it is crucial to stay proactive when it comes to the maintenance and upkeep of your property. This is why I am reaching out to you today after the severe wind storm we had last night with an important recommendation regarding your homes current roof assembly.

If your roof is between 10 to 15 years or older it is highly advisable to consider getting a professional roof inspection done. Taking this preventive measure can save you from potential sudden financial burdens in the future.

In some cases, insurance carriers may send out letters stating that your roof needs replaced in an attempt to mitigate risk after a storm event, and if not done, they may not renew your policy. This situation can be stressful and costly for homeowners. However, by being proactive and getting a roof inspection beforehand, you can assess the condition of your roof and address any issues before they escalate. If your roof is in good condition you can receive a certified Bill of Health and reassure your carrier that replacement is not necessary if a Letter of Intent is ever issued.
