I’ve been seeing this everywhere, how do I get rid of smells and dry my basement? Once the water has been removed you have to start drying it out. Most effective way is just circulate air. Multiple fans is the easiest way to do so. Dehumidifier work in junction with fans. First cut out all wet materials(carpets, drywall and insulation) or remove all wet cardboard. Spread things out to allow airflow around the objects. Tight spaces won’t allow air to move freely and cause mold and rot. After things have dried out get TSP and mix is according the instructions. Wipe down all moldy surfaces and again let dry. TSP is the only thing that will kill mold spores and keep them from spreading. Bleach removes stains not mold spores. Good luck everyone!

Wow, what a weekend! Even us in the construction field are not exempt from the wrath of Mother Nature. My finished basement had 8” of water in it yesterday morning. I lost my water heater, blower motor and circuit board in the furnace. Along with many of our possessions. If the water got to those things in your house, please get on a list to have them checked and replaced. As far as the rest, we can help with putting your finished basements back together. Big project complete! The original room was started but never finished. When started the project the floor framing and support posts were all undersized and rotten. We had the upper story supported so we could remove all the rotten posts and framing. Had the area excavated to allow for a proper frost footing and new foundation walls. Framed a new floor system, framed new exterior walls, new siding, new windows and finished it with new drywall, vinyl plank flooring and new cabinets for the laundry room. Along with the new structurally sound room and deck, the house got a new septic system, new HVAC system and mini split and a new electric panel. The yard was leveled out and the walk out filled in to fix the basement water problems. Let us know how we can help with your project!

A recent bathroom that we finished. The new homeowner needed the old bath tub removed and a new walk in shower installed. We also widened to door to make it easier for the homeowner to access the bathroom. We rebuilt the closet so we could move the vanity to create an easier entrance into the shower.
