A significant milestone has been achieved with the completion of a major project, highlighted by a 10' x 28' addition and new siding throughout the structure. The renovation process has involved the complete overhaul of internal systems, including plumbing, heating, and cooling, as well as the removal of half of the interior walls and a thorough refurbishment of key areas such as the kitchen, bathroom, and basement stairs, resulting in a reimagined floor plan. The newly renovated spaces boast a kitchen with an island, designed to foster family interactions. The relocation of the bathroom has allowed for the creation of a new laundry room in the former bathroom space. With fresh drywall, paint, doors, and trim throughout, the property is now move-in ready.

🛠️ This week, Spoon River CEO students had the incredible opportunity to step inside a large-scale home renovation project led by Towery Construction — a family-owned business operated by the father and grandfather of one of our very own CEO students!

During the visit, the Randy Towery father/son duo walked students through the renovation process and shared insights on construction management, financials, and teamwork in the trades. As a special surprise, they also sent each student home with their own personal tool kit as a token of their generosity and encouragement to keep learning by doing.

At Spoon River CEO, we believe entrepreneurship extends far beyond traditional business settings.
