Petals & Blooms Flower Co.

Petals & Blooms Flower Co. Welcome to Petals & Blooms Flower Co.! I’m Catherine and I’m passionate about growing flowers.

My journey into the world of flower farming began with a deep love for nature and gardening that was cultivated working alongside my grandma.

Flower Stand Opening – May 23:
The flower stand will be open tomorrow: Saturday, May 23, stocked with seasonal bouquets and stems ready to grab and go. Think of it as your invitation to turn a normal Saturday errand run into a tiny celebration.

What if an ordinary summer Saturday night could become one of your favorite memories?

On June 27, we’re hosting an intimate Farm Dinner at Petals & Blooms.
About 20 guests, one long table by the flowers, and farm‑fresh, seasonal plates (featuring food grown right here), all served family‑style.

You can expect:
An unhurried evening on the flower farm
Farm‑fresh dishes passed and shared at the table
Laughter, conversation, and that cozy “we’re in this together” feeling
If you’ve been craving a night that feels both simple and special, I’d love to save you a seat.

I’ve always been the person who turns ordinary nights into “a whole thing.”
A high school concert in the park becomes a picnic with real food and blankets. Margarita night becomes margaritas, salsa, and sometimes a full taco bar.
Recently I told my kids, “I just really enjoy making something ordinary into a memory and an experience,” and the two who were with me answered in perfect unison: “Oh, we know, Mom.”

That made me laugh—but it also reminded me this isn’t just a line I say. It’s the life we’ve actually been living together. And it’s what I want to create here at Petals & Blooms too: not just pretty flowers, but moments of connection that turn into memories.

This week I wrote on Substack about “Petals, People, and the Power of Small Experiences”—how motherhood, community, and this little flower farm all weave together.

Friday blooms from the Petals & Blooms corner of the world. This week it’s been sweet William, delphinium, and lots of plugs being planted, plus lots of words being written behind the scenes. If you want first peeks at what’s growing—both in the beds and on the page—hop on the newsletter list at www.petalsandbloomsflowerco.com. That’s where I share the good stuff first.

See those photos?

My brother, Gregory, and I were working to level those beds. I got there first, using a slightly janky board and a level, completely confident everything was just right—the bubble was perfectly centered, after all. Gregory wasn’t so sure and went off to find a straight board.

And well… turns out, everything was level.

It made me laugh, but it also felt like a small reminder: sometimes things don’t have to look perfect to work beautifully.

If this made you smile or exhale, you’ll love the stories I share in my newsletter—real‑life, slightly janky, but beautifully working. Join me there.

I’m back, friends! I promise I didn’t fall off the face of the earth—I’ve just been buried in books, homework, soil, and seed trays. Between spring semester writing, Substack essays, work, planting, and parenting… social posts took a little nap. The good news? The plants (and I) are blooming and will soon be posting regularly. And I’m ready to bring that calm, bloom-by-bloom energy back to this little corner of the internet.
