One week ago today, just hours after the storm, our crews were already back at work helping our community recover. ❤️

From repairing storm-damaged electrical services to taking care of our generator customers (and countless oil changes 😅), it has been one busy week!

Every member of our team experienced storm damage at home, yet they still showed up and worked incredibly hard to help others. Our priority was to provide prompt repairs at fair prices so homeowners could get their power restored as quickly as possible.

We still have crews out working today, but we wanted to take a moment to recognize the people behind all this hard work.

We couldn't be prouder of our team! ❤️

Up to $2,000 may be available to eligible households for qualifying electrical repairs after Hurricane Isaias. It is something most homeowners never have to think about, but some equipment connected to the home, including the meter enclosure or weatherhead, must be repaired by a licensed electrician before service can be safely restored.

We couldn’t be more proud of this team. They’ve been working incredibly hard, putting in long hours, and doing everything they can to help our community get back to normal.

There’s still a lot of work ahead, but we’re thankful to have such a dedicated team representing Premier Electric Services.❤️

Our crews have been hard at work since yesterday tackling storm-related electrical repairs! We've been operating with limited staff this weekend, but tomorrow we'll have our entire team back in action! 💪

Whether it's repairing storm-damaged electrical equipment, troubleshooting standby generators, or installing interlock kits for portable generators, our guys have been staying busy!

We appreciate everyone's patience as we work through the calls and get to as many customers as possible. It's been a crazy few days for everyone, but we're thankful to have such a hardworking crew and the opportunity to help our community! ❤️

⚡ STORM DAMAGE: WHO DO YOU CALL?

Following the hurricane, many homeowners are discovering damage to their electrical equipment. But did you know that FPL is not responsible for repairing every part of your electrical service?

This diagram, directly from FPL's website, shows which equipment belongs to the utility company and which equipment is the homeowner's responsibility.

🔵 FPL: Power lines, utility poles, transformers, and electric meters.

🟢 HOMEOWNER: Meter boxes, weatherheads, service risers, and other customer-owned electrical equipment.

If your power is out due to a utility issue, contact FPL to report the outage.

If the electrical equipment attached to your home has been damaged, Premier Electric Services can help with repairs needed before FPL can safely restore power.

🌀 HURRICANE RECOVERY UPDATE

Unfortunately, all of our Premier Electric Services team members have experienced damage to their own homes from the hurricane. Today, we are taking time to assess damage, begin cleanup, and take care of our families.

We will begin accepting service calls tomorrow morning, Sunday, October 11.

We are working to respond to everyone who has texted us regarding our portable generator transfer switch/interlock waitlist. Cell service remains spotty, so we appreciate your patience as we work through messages.

Our team is eager to get back out and help our community recover, but we must first make sure our own families and homes are taken care of.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support. Our hearts are with everyone in Cantonment and the surrounding communities affected by this storm. ❤️

With the hurricane expected to impact our area tonight, Premier Electric Services is starting a waitlist for portable generator interlocks and manual transfer switches!

These installations allow you to safely connect your portable generator to your home's electrical system during a power outage.

🔌 Weather, crew, and material availability permitting, we may be able to begin installations as early as tomorrow!

If we're unable to get to you immediately following the storm, don't worry! We will be contacting customers on our waitlist in the coming weeks to schedule installations so you're better prepared for future power outages.

⚡ HURRICANE UPDATE

We will be closed Friday so our team can prepare their homes and families ahead of the storm.

After the storm, our priority will be emergency repairs to storm-damaged electrical equipment on homes and businesses so FPL can safely restore power.

Weather permitting, we may begin accepting emergency calls Sunday. Updates will be posted here.

Please remember: downed power lines and utility poles must be reported directly to FPL or EREC.
