During our inspection, we discovered a large conk (mushroom) growing directly from the base of the palm. This type of fungal growth can be associated with Ganoderma butt rot, a disease that attacks the lower trunk and root system and can seriously compromise the structural integrity of a palm.

⚠️ Unfortunately, once advanced Ganoderma is established, there is no reliable cure to restore the affected tissue. The tree can become a significant hazard as the disease progresses.
