Two Years Later and Still Going Strong

Today was a meaningful milestone for all of us at Sheegog Contracting of Fort Myers and our wonderful clients, Suzanne and Leann. After nearly two years of navigating the complexities of their insurance claim following Hurricane Ian, we had the privilege of welcoming them back to their beautifully repaired and remodeled home.

Getting to this point wasn’t easy. Between an arduous permitting process and the challenge of securing contractors already stretched thin from back-to-back hurricanes in late 2024, the road was anything but smooth. But through it all, one thing remained constant—our commitment to bringing Suzanne and Leann home.

To Suzanne and Leann—thank you for your patience, trust, and kind spirit throughout this journey.

This is the 11:30am update from NOAA and it gets straight to a couple of key points as Tropical Storm Helene intensifies.
1. Storm Surge. For all of you in Port St. Joe, Florida up to Mexico Beach, FL should be preparing for a surge not seen since Hurricane Michael.
2. Wind Swath. This storm is going to span 100s of miles wide. Don't just pay attention to the eye. If you live anywhere in Florida, you're likely to be affected one way or another.
