Grasshopper mower company is crap. I bought a brand new 440 midmount for over 18,000. Last year and all of the spindle assemblies have literally fallen out of the mower 5 times within 2 months, very dangerous to have blades coming off near people and almost killing them. Also, the bearings on the middle double stack pulleys have burnt out 4 times within 2 months. The mower was assembled wrong in at least two ways that has direct damaging affects to the belts. Burnt through 3 mule belts in less than 450 hours. Wheel kept falling off, finally replaced the hub and whell. Gas cap had to be replaced within 4 hours of use. Current gas cap cannot keep in the rubber washer ever. Random bolts missing. The entire strip kit fell off and the steel bar rolled up into my rear wheel assembly almost damaging my hydraulics. The company said that they will not do a damn thing. This mower is a danger and unfit to use. So when the head of a kid gets chopped off from a defective unit, your to blame. I've been mowing for 20yrs and have never ever had this happen. Terrible company. # Grasshopper
