One of the biggest lies in this industry is that a brand-new roof or new siding does not need maintenance.
That is simply not true.
A new exterior system still has seams, joints, flashing details, penetrations, fasteners, and sealants, and every one of those areas can become a failure point over time if no one is paying attention.
Caulk dries out. Fasteners loosen. Moisture barriers age. And when those small issues are ignored, water can start getting in long before the damage is visible from the outside.
That is why some people get 20 years or more out of their roof or siding system, and others do not. It is not always because they bought a better product. It is because they maintained the system regularly.
A new project is not the end of the job. It is the start of protecting your investment the right way.
