Wild Things Community is a Network of nature lovers in the Chicago Region.

Wild Things is a conference held every two years for the citizen conservation community in the Chicago area helping citizens to understand and protect local nature.

Wild Things is Conservation the Chicago Way - collaborative, optimistic, effective. This page proudly serves one of the largest and most engaged networks of natural areas volunteers and groups in the nation. Wild Things are stewards, monitors, advocates, informal educators, Chicago Wilderness members, volunteers and staff, all working together to promote and protect the rare nature in Chicago and the surrounding counties in northeast Illinois, northwest Indiana and southeast Wisconsin.

Today Anthony & Charlie are repping Green Extraction Technologies as well as Emerald Tree Care, LLC

Anthony & Charlie are both also proud Openlands TreeKeepers !

Skills learned in professional arboriculture are multidimensional and in this particular case led to helping a bad situation from becoming worse. Leadership training available in the Industry also assist in providing upward mobility for individuals to execute critical thinking and implement massive action.

Our specialy trained in Tree Risk Assessment Illinois Arborist Association Certified Arborists are still out inspecting trees damaged by the intense storms from over 2 weeks ago.

Some trees especially those in high use areas are too badly damaged and dangerous to keep and unfortunately must be removed. We are finding that in most instances had the tree been pruned and maintained regularly the defect that lead to the damage may have been avoided.

Have your trees inspected regularly for their safety and yours.

Don't neglect and create KILLER TREES!

Providing Essential Services for the safety of the public. As more people are finding themselves at home due to COVID-19 and the weather warms people are spending more time outdoors on their properties.

This linden was struck by lightning. The homeowner is determined to preserve it as long as possible but were worried about all the dead wood possibly falling on their children and themselves as they are trying to make the best of things and want to have a picnic in the front yard under the tree soon!!

Please know we are operational and stand ready to be of service! We are also taking in house precautions to limit unnecessary exposure!

Stay safe and remember you and your home deserve Happy and Healthy trees!
