This week, we're celebrating the WECA Southern California Class of 2024! Today, we're spotlighting Jonathan Espinoza, Valedictorian of the Commercial Electrical Apprenticeship Program and an employee of WECA Member Contractor Blum & Sons.

Jonathan says, "My WECA education and on-the-job training with Blum & Sons was instrumental in helping me pass my state exam and become the journeyman I am today. I believe there were many factors that contributed to my success--my coworkers' help, my instructors' guidance, and my determination and desire to succeed. But, most importantly, the support system I had from my family."

⚡🎓 Shocking News Alert! 🎓⚡

Our apprentices have officially graduated from WECA and are now fully charged electricians! 💡🔌🎉 No more mixing up wires (hopefully 😉), and they’ve sworn to only blow your mind – not your fuses!

After years of hard work, zapped fingers, and more “Aha! That’s how it works!” moments than we can count, these newly minted pros are ready to light up the world (and your home or business).

Congrats to our grads—time to switch gears and shine bright! 🌟 Here’s to fewer sparks and more successful circuits!

In all seriousness, we are extremely proud of our first group of graduates. Not too many company's can claim a Valedictorian and two Salutatorian's on their payroll.

They have all sacrificed and persevered to graduate from WECA's 5-year apprenticeship program. The bonus...NO STUDENT LOAN DEBT and a healthy 401K balance!
