Planting season came to a end this afternoon

We here at Ballard's Acres & Excavating love us some Wrestling definitely Carrollton Wrestling. We sponsored a hole & put together a team. If you know me then you know i had to get them matching golf shirts. 1 of my weird o.c.d I have. Team captain Cozy guided the team into a top 6 team last they knew. Yea we are competitive no matter what the cause is lol. Team is Cozy, Lil Randy, Jim & Dr Troy.

Water stuff. Tied in 5 down spouts, installed 2 floor drains, ship all water to 2 different culvert cistern everything was flat had nowhere to discharge water. So dug a deep hole installed culvert pipe with bunch off holes drilled in the culvert to let water leach out over time. Then we filled upwith 57 river gravel. Then dug some trenches for water & electric line.

34 × 48 garage pad built. Took topsoil off then built pad up 4 ft to mad level with the drive.

Solid turkey killed this a.m by Jason. 25.1 pounds, 11 1/4 beard, 1 3/8 spurs & 25.1 pounds. Farm always produces a few solid turkey's each year.

We hugged in another 36 acres of beans yesterday & 28 acres of corn yesterday in-between rains. Puts us at a pretty good spot for this time of year. This upcoming week we will put the focus on Excavating for the week alot of calls for rain. See if we can get caught back up with Excavating. The juggling act is play this time of the year. Phone won't allow 2 videos for some reason

Ready to race the storm clouds this year.

We put out 100 acres of wheat last fall. Coming along well after some fertilizer. Ground we farm has been on a corn & soybean rotation for years was time to get a 3rd rotation in the fields for soil health. We are ready to rock & roll on planting season this year. Everything is cleaned, greased there just sitting here waiting to get rolling through the fields. Weather forecast looks like we will be getting a later start then was shooting for. Let mother nature do her thing.
