🌧️ Drainage work coming together and holding up at Boyd Company Rentals in Ghent, Kentucky!

Culverts and drainage systems play a big role in controlling water flow and helping prevent erosion around roads, driveways, and job sites.

The riprap stone around the outlet helps slow the water down and protect the surrounding ground from washing out over time.

A lot of the important work on a project happens underground or out of sight, but it’s what helps everything hold up long term.

Despite the weather, we are making progress at River Metals in Louisville today.

🏗️ Working on some structural steel modifications and installing new support columns.

The excavator’s helping hold the steel in place while the crew gets everything lined up, fitted, and welded into the building frame.

A lot of precision goes into work like this, and these guys have been putting in the hours to get it done right.

Making progress over at Boyd Company Rentals.

The crew’s been setting up two shipping containers with a covered tarp structure between them to create a functional shop and work area.

Still a little more work to do, but it’s starting to come together.

Proud of these guys and the work they’re putting in day in and day out on this project.

The Boyd Company Rentals site is nearly complete on our end in Ghent, KY.

The culvert pipe is set in place to handle drainage and support the driveway entrance.

Final concrete pad poured and ready for what’s next.

Just to clear things up! 😉 A lot of people use “concrete” and “cement” like they mean the same thing… but they’re actually different.

Cement is just one part of concrete.

Concrete is made up of:
• Cement
• Stone (aggregate)
• Sand
• Water

Cement acts like the glue that holds everything together.

So next time you see a concrete job, you’re looking at a mix, not just cement.

🦺 Experienced Concrete Foreman
Lead crews on job sites with a focus on concrete forming and pouring. Must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience and be comfortable managing day-to-day operations in the field.

🚧 Heavy Equipment Operators
Experienced operators needed for excavators and dozers on active job sites.

🚛 CDL Class A & B Drivers
Operate company trucks and assist with transporting materials and heavy equipment. Responsible for daily equipment operation, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and supporting job site needs.
• Local driving: home every evening

🛣️ Concrete Finishers
Assist with placing, finishing, and detailing concrete work to ensure a quality final product.

👷 General Laborers
Support the crew with a variety of hands-on tasks including site prep and cleanup. Responsibilities may include:
✔ Using hand tools (shovels, rakes, post hole diggers)
✔ Installing silt fence
✔ Spotting and flagging trucks and equipment
✔ Inspecting trucks and maintaining work areas
✔ Operating small equipment (skid steers, mini excavators, backhoes)

• Asphalt experience is a plus
• Great opportunity to learn and grow in the field
