This is a new panel. We just finished installing. That silver metal with the red label is a generator interlock kit, when you switch the main to off, you can slide that up then turn the two pole 50 to the on position and that will allow the generator to feed the panel without it going back on the feeder wires.

A new homeowner, needed an upgrade.
The original panel was in the closet, which is not allowed. The Meterbase was really old so we replaced that and put a new panel outside with an emergency generator Feed,

This cable is coming from up above, the wire tie wrap to the cable is actually the Grounding electrode conductor that goes to Building steel and bonds inside the transformer. One interesting thing about a transformer is you just feed it with three hots and then through the grounding and bonding you actually create another Neutral that you didn’t get from the primary side so therefore you don’t pull it.

This is what we’ve been working on this week plus some other stuff. The cable coming out of the joist is 100 A that will feed a transformer that feeds the cabinets.

So proud of the two journeyman that help me with the business. I’ve been on vacation for a while. Without them, my income would be zero, with them, we all make above average as a team. The phone calls come to me. They go out and talk to the customer, estimate it with my input. Close the deal, do the work and we share the money, everybody wins.
 My management style is be cool,and share the money. Oh yeah, and they keep our corporate and regular commercial clients happy. We also do quite a bit of residential service work and remodel.

Lady called about a power outage the power company said she needed to replace the Meterbase. The permit has been pulled the city Inspector has already approved it  I still have to come by here next week and see him, maybe. At 1 PM I pulled the permit on my laptop then I went to get the Meterbase. Reinstall was finished by 4 PM.  the city inspector got off at 1130. Luckily he answered my text and told me how to go about it to get it approved and the paperwork done of course.
