As we head into this Memorial Day weekend, we pause to honor and remember the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Because of their courage, dedication, and selflessness, we are blessed with the freedoms we enjoy every day in the greatest country in the world.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to those who gave everything, and to the families who carry their legacy forward.

With gratitude,
The El Reyo Ownership Group

We’ve had the opportunity to work on multiple properties for this homeowner, so when it came time to remodel his pool, he gave us a call. After exploring different options, he chose Basalite Artisan Slate pavers with texture in the Flag pattern — one of our favorite patterns to install.

The biggest challenge was keeping the pattern flowing seamlessly as we worked around the pool and connected back to where we started. This was made even more difficult by a 4-degree slope away from the pool, but our team delivered a flawless finish.

The result is a clean, timeless outdoor space built with precision and designed to last.

In the end, you see these beautiful retaining walls — but behind them is an over-engineered foundation built to stand the test of time. From proper drainage to structural support, every detail is designed not just for appearance, but to protect your property for years to come.

Because great landscapes should be as durable as they are beautiful. Call us today for your free design consultation.

This homeowner had a small driveway that could barely fit both his and his wife’s vehicles, so they gave us a call. Once we began removing the old concrete, we quickly discovered why it had been cracking for years — there was no proper road base underneath it.

To ensure this new driveway would last, we completely rebuilt the foundation the right way. We installed 6 inches of drain rock, 6 inches of compacted road base, and finished it with beautiful Basalite Premier Smooth pavers in Bodega Sands with a charcoal border.

Not only does the new driveway look clean and timeless, but it also completely transformed the functionality of their home. What once struggled to fit two vehicles can now comfortably park three.

At El Reyo Landscape, we believe the beauty on top is only as good as the work underneath. Proper prep, proper compaction, and attention to detail make all the difference.

If you’re thinking about upgrading your driveway or outdoor space, give us a call today for a free estimate.

This homeowner wanted to transform an unkempt hillside on his corner lot into two functional, usable spaces. We brought that vision to life by installing a retaining wall with integrated steps, creating a clean and accessible path from the main road to the front door.

The upper section of the wall was leveled out and finished with fresh sod, giving the space a clean, usable lawn area. To complete the project, we added carefully selected plants and decomposed granite, highlighting the natural beauty and character of Nevada’s landscape.

Sometimes we overthink and overcomplicate a design. With this client, we focused on a maintenance-free goal, dividing the yard into three key areas—a paver patio, synthetic turf, and decorative rock. Paired with thoughtfully placed trees and a pergola, this clean and simple layout creates a space that feels complete without stretching the budget.

If you’re looking to transform your yard with purpose and simplicity, give us a call for a free design consultation today.

This project was all about creating a deeper connection to the outdoors—making every part of the space feel intentional, usable, and personal.

We started at the front of the home by removing damaged concrete and invasive roots, replacing it with a warm, welcoming paver walkway that feels like a natural extension of the home.

For a client who truly enjoys being outside, functionality mattered just as much as feel. We built a natural retaining wall and widened the space to comfortably accommodate their 30-foot camper—making it easy to come and go without sacrificing the look of the property.

As we moved into the backyard, the focus shifted to creating spaces you actually want to spend time in. What began as a landscape plan evolved in the field—adding elements that bring character and flow. A retaining wall that shapes the yard, boulder steps that guide you through it, and a water feature that adds a sense of calm.

At the top of the property, we created a quiet patio retreat—perfect for slowing down and taking in the views of Reno. It’s a simple, intentional space that feels tucked away, yet connected to everything around it.

To wrap it up, we extended the existing patio and prepared an area for a future greenhouse and planters—blending the mature landscape with new opportunities to grow and enjoy the space.

This one wasn’t about overbuilding—it was about getting closer to the outdoors and making the space feel like it truly belongs to the homeowner.

Small improvements can make a huge difference for our clients.

We completed this homeowner’s patio a few years ago, and at the time, the entryway wasn’t a concern. As the original wood entrance began to fail, they reached back out to us for a more permanent solution.

We recommended extending the existing patio using the same Belgard Mega Arbel pavers to maintain consistency. To complete the upgrade, we installed clean, durable metal railings for both safety and style.

It may seem like a small project, but details like this ensure a seamless integration with the original design—and a long-lasting result.

We want to give a huge shout-out to Adam Carlson at Stark Commercial Real Estate.

We started working with Adam a few years ago while searching for a commercial property that would eventually become the future home of El Reyo Landscape. It was a long process, but Adam was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and always made sure we fully understood the options in front of us.

When we first came across the property on Fairview, we were extremely excited—only to find out it was already in escrow. Instead of letting that discourage us, Adam kept us moving forward. Then, a few months later, he reached out with great news: the property had fallen out of escrow. Even before it officially came back on the market, Adam made sure we were first in line. He proactively contacted the seller and positioned us to act quickly.

Thanks to his persistence and dedication, we were able to secure nearly an acre of land in an ideal location right off the freeway—perfect for accommodating our current operations and future fleet. We also entered into an agreement for adjacent land to create additional access points, setting us up for long-term growth.

Adam didn’t just help us find a property—he helped us secure the future home of our business.

If you’re looking for someone who is patient, proactive, and truly has your best interest in mind, I can’t recommend Adam Carlson enough.

We recently completed two backyard projects for neighboring homeowners—each with a completely different vision.

One homeowner, enjoying retirement and using the home as a secondary residence, wanted a clean, modern look with zero maintenance. For this space, we installed synthetic turf, sleek pavers, and a block wall to create a sharp, low-upkeep design.

Next door, the focus was on creating a warm, traditional backyard that could accommodate pets and everyday use. We brought that vision to life with lush Kentucky Bluegrass sod, pavers, and a natural boulder retaining wall for a more organic feel.

Different styles. Different needs. Both executed exactly the way the homeowners envisioned.

That’s what we do—we listen, design, and build spaces that fit your lifestyle.
