On-off-on Toggle switching. Did you know you can get these in both momentary or constant power variations? Came in handy when replacing the beat up old SO cord controls on an old equipment lift and when moving the speed controls for a smoke-eater to a readily accessible location.

When your customer can’t get insured for overheating breakers, you find a solution. In this case, somebody swapped out 20amp breakers with 30amp due to tripping; therefore leading to a fire hazard on 12awg wire. Solution: trace out the circuits and break them up into multiple circuits. Add a pipe run that accommodates future work. Don’t forget to think about pipe fill and ampacity adjustments for number of current carrying conductors.

Customer requested special order $$$(aka non-refundable) surge protection with emf/rf noise filtering for their 480v3phase gantry crane. This was recommended to the by the crane company who repeatedly came out for issues with their controller. Decided to check their termination/connection points before installing. Found extremely poor connection points (wire nut literally broke off when I touched it) which definitely could have been causing blown fuses, and could have been a potential fire hazard. Always do your homework folks and be thorough with your investigations. Not saying they didn't need this protection, but we can't be sure that this "simple" mistake wasn't the culprit behind all there issues.

Some lighting upgrades for this happy customer! Not only does this customer have an updated look and a well lit home; her lighting circuits are now upgraded to have arc-fault protection (making her home that much safer).
