Restoration work on a historic home in Chester.

From foundation to roof, damaged materials throughout the structure were carefully removed, repaired, and rebuilt. The original foundation was reinforced, the roof pitch was corrected, and the roofing system was rebuilt with new moisture barrier, underlayment, and shingles for lasting protection.

One of the highlights of this project was uncovering the original plank ceiling hidden beneath layers added over the years and restoring its character instead of covering it up.

Projects like this are about more than construction, they’re about preserving the integrity and history of a home while giving it new life for the years ahead.

Here is a up to date offerings guide for our residential services.

Over the past 15 years the size, scale and type of the projects Sublime has worked on have varied immensely. That being said painting is the reason we started business and our favorite line of work so please do not hesitate to contact us for painting projects!

If you are thinking of completing a project before the holiday season now is the time to begin planning and scheduling!

The room pictured was an addition to an 1800’s home. We had been asked to remove and rehang all the drywall but on the back wall. We seem to end up in a lot of these little laundry room additions in the Carolina’s. Many times they are what was an old porch closed in. The framing can be a little interesting. Upon removing the previous drywall it was revealed that it was hung on top of the old siding. This project is a great example of Sublime assisting the homeowner with the part of a project so the homeowner could utilize their efforts/skills to finish the rest. We have done countless front to back restoration projects but still appreciate the opportunity to help out with specific stages!

While dark colors are often seen as elegant, light colors provide their own unique benefits. Light colors reflect more light providing a sense of spaciousness and making small rooms look bigger. Light colored walls generally look brighter and more cheerful compared to their dark colored counterparts. Also, light paint absorbs less heat in direct sunlight which can be beneficial in areas with long summers and hot climates. In contrast, dark wall colors require more frequent maintenance as dirt is much easier to spot on lighter backgrounds. Light color paints have many benefits that make them worth considering when looking for a new color scheme in your home. 🏠

Introducing an accent wall into your home is a relatively inexpensive way to add some texture, interest, and complexity to an otherwise simple or small room. For small rooms, in particular, adding a darker color to one wall can help to make the room feel much bigger. ✨

This old red barn and remodeled pool house are looking top notch with a fresh coat of paint. Sublime was first contacted due to a previous drywall contractor not showing back up to finish the job. Upon inspecting their work a nightmare scenario was revealed and a good deal of the previous drywall had to be removed and replaced. All of the caked on mud had to be sanded to a level it could properly tapered and finished. About a third of the tape seams were already failing. Sublime was able to quickly make the adjustments necessary to get the schedule moving again. After the drywall was complete we knocked out the exterior of the remodel and the barn!
