You’re probably used to seeing us inside homes, but for this project, an exception was made😌

For a long time customer, we designed and installed a composite porch to be used for years to come. Not only is it safer than the former existing, deteriorating slate steps that were there previously, but it is also more visually appealing.

Towards the end of the project, our customer had a change of heart in the material. Allegedly accusing a trustworthy supplier of delivering used or secondhand material, not only were we confused, but deeply disappointed in the lack of trust that was communicated.

Eager to stand behind our work and the product we installed, we went above and beyond to wash the final product with a cleaner that was provided for free by the manufacturer- despite the fact that brand new and unused material was in fact, provided.

We’re sharing this story because sometimes, unexpected situations happen. But we believe in righteousness, professionalism, and responding in a way that is not only ethical, but moral.

And when that is compromised, sometimes the only thing that you can do is walk away, even if another project is on the table.

So, tell us- does the cleanliness of this finished porch meet your standards? 🧽 🪣 🫧

The Tale of Two Floors💃🏽

We were initially contracted to replace these two small floors in a powder and laundry room. But once demo began, it became clear that the scope of work was necessary to expand. The previously installed subfloor was inadequate and improperly installed, requiring it to be immediately replaced.

Once the subfloor was up to par, we put down new tile backerboard and installed this lovely faux marble porcelain hexagon from Best Tile ®, using the center of each doorway as our focal point and beginning with a full tile!

It’s the attention to detail that makes all the more difference.

We hope you’ve been thoroughly enjoying your summer just as much as we have! With as many projects as there are to share, we’re excited to kick off the summer series featuring this fireplace transformation. 🌞🪵

Once we stripped the existing conditions, we brought new life into this fireplace by installing new face tile with Cava Gold 4x12 in a matte finish by Best Tile ®, and designed a brand new hearth using 12x24’s. We trimmed the edges with a modern Jolly profile from Schluter-Systems North America, and grouted the face with our favorite product called Spectralock 1 by LATICRETE in the color Frosty.

In the shower area, we began by removing the outdated acrylic tub surround. We then framed a new custom niche, installed new waterproof wall board, caulked our seams with Hydro Ban adhesive, and tiled our hearts away!

We also installed brand new fixtures and grab bars for elevated function and feel. The before and after photos speak for themselves.

One of the most rewarding parts of this work, aside from the craftsmanship, is the connections we’re able to form with our clients along the way. By the end of this project, our customer was in tears over the beauty and joy this transformation brought her.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we’re so lucky to do what we do together, everyday. 🛁🩵

We recently finished up this adorable little 1850 bathroom renovation, and the results are timeless! 🫧

Our client had bold design ideas (and the best sense of humor), and we brought those ideas to life featuring a checker board floor with a classic muted blue green subway tile.

Eager to mix metals and make a bold statement, she integrated chrome, matte black, and brushed brass for added depth.

We’re always up for a challenge, so when our clients were set on having a stone-look for their backsplash, they presented this 17x26 large format porcelain tile.

Although we always recommend purchasing material from high quality distributors instead of big box stores, we were determined to make it work.

Centering our initial application on the range to highlight the focal area, we slowly worked our way above the custom range hood and over to the sink wall where we went up and around a newly installed window.

The end result blends modern with warm vibes without committing to real stacked stone. Go big or go home. 🪨🤎

We were contracted to remove existing 8x8 tile in an entryway, laundry room, mudroom, and powder room floor. We installed applicable tile underlayment and began setting this porcelain 12x12, with a precision layout centered on the hallway opening.

For these high traffic areas, we completed the installation by grouting with Spectralock 1 from

A properly built shower pan is all about precision- slope, layout, drainage, and durability. That’s why every shower we build is installed using ’s complete shower system.

The Hydro Ban pre-sloped shower pan is our go-to because it’s engineered for consistent, reliable drainage from the start.

No guesswork. No shortcuts. Just proven performance for both the installer and the homeowner.

This one is finished with our signature flower drain, carefully centered and integrated into the tile layout for a clean, intentional finish.

For grout, we use Spectralock 1 for its durability, consistency, and long-term performance. We even used the remaining product to refresh and regrout the existing bathroom floor, ensuring everything flows together seamlessly.

Details like this are what separate a standard install from true craftsmanship.🫧

It’s never easy ripping out your own work.

Several years ago, my husband was brought in to complete a shower that had already been through more than most projects ever should. He inherited walls that weren’t square, materials already installed, and a design mid-construction. He did what he always does- made it right, and made it beautiful.

Years later, an accident involving a shower door that someone else improperly installed after his work had been completed damaged parts of the space. When we returned to make repairs, we discovered the original tile had been discontinued- which meant there was only one real option.

Start over.

Piece by piece, the entire shower came out, including his original installation. Not because it failed, but because rebuilding it properly was the only way forward.

This version is the result. A labor of love, patience, and craftsmanship- rebuilt together with intention from the ground up for years to come. The homeowner selected a modern design featuring a two tone wall tile installation, and with two grout colors to showcase the shower pan and walls.

Some projects are about creating something new. Others are about letting go and starting all over when it’s the right thing to do. 🚿🧼
