Officials say no one in six towns east of Syracuse is expected to run out of water as long as conservation continues.

OCWA will spend the weekend preparing a massive repair site in Cicero, where crews will begin replacing 134 feet of ruptured transmission pipe on Monday. The work is expected to stretch into early January and cost millions.

Schools are still expected to reopen Jan. 5, officials said, but they warned the situation could change if water use rises. Tap the link above for the full story.
