This recently completed home addition rocked!!!

This project was about more than just adding square footage.

The homeowners wanted their main living space to feel more open, connected, and functional for everyday life and entertaining.

So we added a spacious new living area with vaulted ceilings, large windows, patio doors, and a custom fireplace feature wall that became the focal point of the room. 🔥🔥

The result?

More natural light, better flow between the kitchen, dining, living, and outdoor spaces, and an addition that feels like it was always supposed to be part of the home.☀️🏠

A little Final Photo Friday!🔥📸

Let me start off by saying this.... WHAT A SICK PROJECT🙌🏼

To be a part of this project from initial design all the way through completion was an absolute treat.

Before diving into some of the project details, I wanted to highlight the fact that luxury outdoor living spaces designed for hosting and built for living are where we excel.

Built on a custom composite deck overhang addition is the foundation for where this one started and includes:

✅ Multiple built-in cooking areas
✅ Built-in mini fridge
✅ Built-in storage cabinets/drawers and trash
✅ Spacious countertop room for food prep and hosting
✅ All wrapped decoratively with composite decking, giving the whole area a classy and sleek finish

The other main features of this project include:
✅ A built-in electric fireplace that acts as a centerpiece
✅ A TV mounted above the fireplace sets the scene for more of an outdoor living room vibe with surrounding furniture. Perfect for a big sports game with friends or a movie night with the family.
✅ A nice-sized table and chairs in the middle of the space allow for a great place for meals and gathering.
✅ Complete with custom space heaters built into the ceiling, which might be the coolest feature of this project, allowing this space to be used more months out of the year given the nature of Midwest weather.

On the outside, the outdoor kitchen area is wrapped with decorative stone and includes vertical fascia from the base of the deck to the ground, giving the outside of this space a clean, finished look all the way around.

So happy with how this one turned out and all the memories to come for this family!
