Careers in Construction Month Spotlight!
Nick Harper | Quality Control

A second-generation Local 25 pipefitter/welder, Nick Harper has built a career spanning welding, quality control, construction technology and training.

Today, he handles quality control for Modern’s River Cities market, supports Stratus and QC database development, and works with Davenport’s VDC team to connect virtual construction with the shop and field.

What means the most to him?
“I’ve been able to use what I’ve learned to make the people, processes, and teams around me better, and I think that is the accomplishment I value most.”

His advice to anyone considering the trades? “Absolutely do it.”
“The trades can take you in a lot more directions than people think.”
