Two decks on the same property, completely transformed.

After cleaning both decks, we had to wait longer than expected to get them stained due to the constant wet weather. Once we finally got a window to get the work done, the results were worth the wait.

The decks turned out amazing, and most importantly, the client was extremely happy with the finished product.

A fresh new look for this beautiful cedar fence.

This fence was installed just 6 weeks ago and finished with a semi-transparent cedar stain. One of the biggest myths is that you have to wait a year for new wood to "season" before staining. The truth is, what matters is the moisture content—not the age. Once the wood is below 13% moisture, it's ready to be protected.

A Monday morning drive to the Amana Colonies... only to find the deck still soaking wet from overnight dew.

With the deck sitting in the shade and getting no morning sun, there was no way to stain it without risking the quality of the finish. Sometimes the best decision is to reschedule and wait for the right conditions.

This has been one of the most challenging years for exterior staining that I can remember. The weather doesn't always cooperate, but I'd rather delay a project than deliver anything less than the quality our customers expect.

That's the reality of doing it right.
