Today project manager assistants Lora & Lisa will be out and about delivering cookies to some of the companies we work with to say Thank You! Each box of cookies was purchased through the Horizons Cookies of Compassion fundraiser, and provides meals to seniors in the community through their Meals on Wheels program.

4th Quarter Recap
To say 2025 flew by is an understatement! We cannot believe it is time to recap the events of the years last quarter already. Nelson Electric's team of employees kept busy in the past few months, continuing their volunteering efforts throughout the community. In October, Lisa volunteered at the NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) booth at the Junior Achievement Career Inspire expo. This event gives 9th grade students the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths with hands on demonstrations. In November, Lora and Lisa took off for an afternoon to do some shopping, purchasing items to fill our Toys for Tots donation box. This is an annual event we look forward to every year! Nelson Electric dove right into the holiday season this year by sponsoring the Santa Paws night at the Five Seasons Lights. Each of Santa's four-legged best friends were treated to a special Nelson Electric dog biscuit. We finished the season with TJ, Jason, Lora, and Mindy volunteering to ring the bell for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign. Unfortunately we picked the coldest day of the year for them to stand outside, but they were good sports about it and dressed in multiple layers! 2025 was a great year! We cannot wait to see what new opportunities are waiting for us in 2026.

We've been keeping a secret that we are excited to finally share! We are welcoming Renee back to the team as a full time employee after her graduation from Iowa State in the spring.
