Job Title: Temporary Steel Project Manager
Location: Childress, TX (with travel within a 120-mile radius)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Steel Project Manager to oversee structural and miscellaneous steel projects across multiple job sites within a 120-mile radius of Childress, TX. This temporary, casual position requires a hands-on individual who can ensure projects are progressing on schedule, within budget, and adhering to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel construction and be comfortable traveling between sites using their own vehicle. This job can even be for retirees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance
with project specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with steel fabrication shops, general contractors, and on-site steel
erectors to manage sequencing and scheduling.
• Maintain and update delivery and installation schedules for all items within the
scope of work.
• Attend job site meetings and serve as the liaison between various stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment and manage vendor
relationships.
• Constant contact with COO regarding important issues, regular progress of
project.
• Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and
quality standards.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management,
specifically in steel fabrication and er****on.
• Strong understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel components and
installation processes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various
stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on-site.
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle suitable for travel to various
job sites.
• Willingness to travel within a 120-mile radius of Childress, TX.
• Must be able to navigate and work on active construction sites, adhering to all
safety protocols.
• Must pass background check.
