Registration for the 2026 Garden Camp with our Master Gardeners is now open!

Application forms are now being accepted for the 2026 Master Gardener Training Class. Classes will begin on Friday, July 17th through Friday, November 20th, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each Friday for 17 weeks. . Applications may be obtained at the Leon County extension office located on the third floor of Leon County Annex 1, 113 W. Main, Centerville; here on Facebook or by calling the Leon County extension office at 903- 2531.
Classes are held at the Leon County Extension office located on the third floor of Leon County Annex 1, 113 W Main, Centerville, TX. The cost for these classes is $200 per person, due by the first day of class, which includes the Master Gardener handbook, which has a wealth of information, a soil analysis and other training materials. Preregistration is required by 5:00 p.m. July 11th and class size is limited. You will be considered an intern until you have completed 50 volunteer hours within one year after which you will be certified as a Leon County Texas Master Gardener and receive your badge.
Master Gardeners are playing an important role in the Leon County community in home landscapes, gardens, historic buildings and schools. responding to personal and business needs in disease and insect problems, and through volunteer work assisting at the extension office through the master gardener program. Participants will have the opportunity to network with subject matter specialists related to gardening and horticulture issues, attend state and national master gardener conventions, technical training, and will learn through lectures, tours, hands on activities and by sharing knowledge with each other. This will be a great opportunity to improve gardening knowledge and skills, and to give back to the community.
