When you purchase an 80 year old home in the Upstate, you are not just buying property. You are stepping into stewardship.

This brick walkway was beginning to settle and deteriorate. Mortar was breaking down. Sections were loosening. The brick itself was still strong. The issue was underneath. That distinction matters.

The homeowner had original brick stored on the property. Instead of introducing new material that would alter the character of the home, we removed the compromised sections, rebuilt the base properly, and reset the original brick to maintain consistency and structural integrity.

This is NOT an entry level position.

👉 You must have at least 2–3 years of hands on masonry experience.

If you have only done general labor or basic landscaping, this is NOT the job.

• Lay block correctly
• Set natural and manufactured stone
• Mix and work mortar properly
• Keep joints clean and work professional
• Show up ready to work and move with purpose

Pay is $18 to $26 per hour depending on skill level and production.

Most homeowners think retaining walls are either fine or failing. As the experts, we know they fail in stages.

This historic brick wall along a Clemson driveway was in the early stage. The cap layer was breaking down. Mortar deteriorating. Brick loosening. The structural core underneath was still solid.

At this stage, the homeowner still had leverage.

What you do not see matters just as much as what you do. Before any stone goes up, the foundation has to be right. Proper base prep, reinforced block, and drainage that moves water away instead of trapping it. This is the difference between a wall that looks good for a year and one that performs for decades.
