This project popped up as a memory from 3 years ago today.

I received a call to wire a dryer — which is normally a pretty common request. What wasn’t so common was learning that the dryer required four runs of conduit. Two runs needed 480V 3-phase at 100 amps, and the other two required 480V 3-phase at 80 amps.
Joe Josko and I installed over 200 feet of conduit on the first day, and the following day we pulled all of the conductors to power this industrial tent dryer.
A big thank you to Denney Electric Supply for helping get everything together so quickly.
And thanks to John, Kevin, and Roland at Denney Electric Supply for the support.
Always fun looking back at some of the larger projects we’ve had the opportunity to complete.
Projects like this are a great reminder that no two electrical jobs are ever the same.

We started a great addition on a house in Quakertown last week. The job site is always powered with , and today it happened to be filled with coffee! ☕️⚡️ Onward and upward.

After a quick stop to load Baker scaffolding, we headed to Plumsteadville to help a new customer get ready for drywall repairs. We removed a large chandelier from a two-story foyer and installed a blank cover on the electrical box. The ceiling damage came from a previous water leak around an attic dormer, and a second area happened when the homeowner accidentally stepped off a rafter and onto the ceiling below. With the Baker scaffolding, we completed the job start-to-finish in under an hour.

Our second stop took us to Dresher. We removed the builder-grade low-voltage under-cabinet lights and upgraded the driver and switch to a Lutron DVELV dimmer for smooth, precise light control. We installed 12V GM tape light in an aluminum channel with a white acrylic lens for clean, even light distribution—and had enough left to add lighting inside a glass-door corner cabinet at no additional cost.

To wrap up, we replaced two high-hat lights in the front entry hallway and installed two Quoizel pendants purchased from Denney Electric Supply in Ambler, PA. We also upgraded a 3-way switch to a Lutron Diva CL dimmer to give the homeowner better control of the light level.

❄️ Well… did everyone dig out yet? ☃️❄️
That snow really came down! If you’re still shoveling (or pretending you’ll do it later 😅), take a minute to look around your home.
With all this snow on the ground, electrical safety matters:

Snow may look cozy, but it can hide serious electrical hazards! Keep your home safe after a big snowfall:

⚡️ Check outdoor outlets & meters – keep snow & ice away.
⚡️Stay clear of downed power lines – always assume they’re live!
⚡️ Use generators safely – outside, away from windows, with heavy-duty cords.
⚡️ Avoid indoor water hazards – don’t plug in devices near wet floors or melted snow.
⚡️ Mind circuits & heaters – don’t overload outlets or space heaters.
⚡️ Watch trees & roofs – heavy snow can bring down lines or damage wiring.
⚡️ Keep things dry & elevated – snow + water = shock risk!

Snow days are fun… electrical hazards are not 😉
Stay warm, stay safe, and shovel smart!

❄️⚡ Cold Weather = High Electric Bills? Here’s How to Save! ⚡❄️

As an electrician, I see it every winter—electric bills spike when temperatures drop. With the forecast of low temperatures ahead, here are a few smart, safe ways to keep costs down without freezing:

🔌 Seal the leaks
Cold air sneaking in makes your heating system work overtime. Check doors, windows, and outlets on exterior walls for drafts and seal them up.

🌡️ Use a programmable thermostat
Lower your heat a few degrees while you’re sleeping or away. Even a 2–3° drop can make a noticeable difference on your bill.

💡 Switch to LED lighting
With shorter days, lights stay on longer. LEDs use up to 75% less electricity and last much longer.

🔥 Be careful with space heaters
They draw a lot of power. Only heat the room you’re using and always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet—never an extension cord.

🧺 Run appliances efficiently
Wash clothes in cold water, air-dry when possible, and keep dryer vents clean to reduce energy waste.

🧰 Schedule a safety check of your electrical panel today!
Cold weather increases electrical demand. A professional panel safety check ensures your system is handling the load efficiently, helps prevent breaker trips, and can uncover issues that may be driving your bill up.

⚠️ Electrician’s pro tip:
Outdated panels or wiring can cost you more every month and pose a safety risk. A quick inspection can bring peace of mind—and savings.

Stay warm, stay safe, and don’t let winter shock your electric bill! ❄️⚡

✨ Project Spotlight: Seamless LED Upgrade!

Today we transformed a beautiful kitchen—and the first-floor office—with sleek, low-voltage LED lighting. We used GM Lighting 24V, 2700K fixtures paired with Lutron Diva ELV dimmers for smooth, flicker-free control and a warm, inviting glow.

Best part? Joe Josko and I were able to fish all wiring through the existing finished walls—no drywall cuts, no patches, no mess. 🙌

If you’ve been dreaming of clean, modern lighting without the renovation hassle, we’ve got you covered!

It’s taken quite a bit of time to put this wrap together. I started in mid-February, working with a fantastic company based in New York called WarpToons to create the design. This is the third project we've collaborated on together. After making several adjustments, we finally settled on this design. When it came time to find someone to print and install the wrap, I reached out to a childhood neighbor who owns "A Funky Sign Shop" in Doylestown, PA. Steve was incredibly helpful and professional in coordinating the printing and installation of the wrap.

Thank you, WarpToons and A Funky Little Sign Shop
