When something attacks your chickens at 4 am, Dylan and Mr. Poe are on the scene 🧐😅 As funny as this video is, what's not funny is something has taken almost our entire flock. We haven't caught it on camera because of how fast it is. We think its a fox but can't be sure.

Penny, our biggest pain in the ass, will be a pain no more! About 1 year old AGH and a tubby girl because no fence could hold her back 🫠🤣 she had a short ride to the train station this morning 😉🔪😂 can't wait to taste that free range bacon 🥓

We also adopted 4 hens & so far they're adjusting well! Thank you Lamberson's!

Oh... and Dylan and I ordered almost 30 chicks to arrive next month to try and do our own MEAT chickens! Can't wait to see how this new adventure goes 🐥🐥🐥🫠🤣

Piglets are getting big and nobody is enjoying the rainy week we are having! 1 female and 2 (will be) barrows available for purchase.

Sometimes goats are stupid. Sometimes electric netting sucks. This is how we started our day. Dylan was all sorts of pi**ed off, understandably. When I got up there with the baby on my back, we got them back in a new area and they tried getting back out before we got the fence finished. Then I was stupid and open palm hit a goat in the base of his horns to keep him in. Guess who won that 🐏 Boots² - 1, Katy's hand - 0. 10/10 don't recommend 🙃

For the record, both goats are fine & doing better than my hand lol

On the other hand, the butcher called! Penny is headed to meet her maker Monday! Hopefully we can keep her contained until then and get her on a trailer. We'll see 🥴

Update - she passed away 😭

We have a disappointing update on Haywire Hilda & hate to show this side of things.... Yesterday she took a turn for the worse. Although her diarrhea resolved, she developed fast & heavy breathing. Unfortunately, there's no hog vets around here & awhile back the gov't decided to take farmers' autonomy away by removing OTC antibiotics & such from stores & requiring vet rx. We are supporting her the best we can with electrolytes & a homemade essential oil concoction among other things, but the outlook is grim. If you could send some prayers up, or if you have any suggestions please do so 🙏
