Went to a job yesterday where a different well driller had been and checked a well for a lady and told her lightning had hit her well and she had to have a new well. Long story short we reset the breaker and changed the control box and she had water he was going to charge her 17000 for a new well

BIG NEWS AT EDGAR & JERRY HUGHES WELL DRILLING! We just bought a 2007 Peterbuilt with a 2007 Simco 7000 drilling rig! This is huge for us we have been running a Failing that Edgar Hughes bought brand new in 1969.

Born: July 15, 1925
Died: December 14, 2014
Sarah Hughes, age 89, of Enterprise, AL passed away, Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Reverends Cliff Quincey and Wayne Locklar officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., on Tuesday, December 16th.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Hughes, a daughter, Sue Ann Carr and a great-grandson, Christopher Carr.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Hughes (Yvonne); Gerald Hughes (Jackie); son-in-law, Carlton Carr; grandchildren, Steve Carr (Beth); DeWayne Carr (Becky); Phillip Hughes (Starla); Wade Hughes; Raymund Hughes (Jeanynne); great-grandchildren, Whitney Chapman; Sidney & Cloie Messer; Ashley & Travis Carr; Ross & Ryan Hughes; Lindsey Hughes; Breana & Hunter Hughes; several nieces and nephews.
