👃 Smells you shouldn’t ignore! 👃

WHEN YOU TURN YOUR HEAT ON, DIFFERENT SMELLS CAN MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS:

🟤 Dusty / slightly burnt = Often normal at first as dust burns off

🥚 Rotten eggs / sulfur = Possible gas leak--leave the home and contact your gas utility or emergency services

🌫️ Musty = Could mean dust, moisture, or mold buildup

⚡ Electrical / burning plastic = Turn the system off and have it checked right away

If a smell is strong, unusual, or doesn’t go away, don’t ignore it and contact a professional HVAC company. Avoid waiting until the harsh cold weather arrives.
