Our story began in Washington DC when Amy Strunk began her design career for a leader in the design & build industry while receiving her degree in Landscape Design & Sustainable Landscapes from The George Washington University. Amy began her career focusing on small scale residential installations and quickly began building up her own client base by leading speaking engagements for garden clubs, t
he nursery she worked at, co-hosting a local television show “The Gardening Advisor” and moving on to larger scale residential and commercial jobs. By 2013, she was a sought after Landscape Designer in the DC area. Some of her projects included private residences at the Watergate & Georgetown, gated enclaves in Great Falls as well as leading student mentor ships through GWU. Amy and her two children moved to Chapel Hill in 2014 where Amy started Amy Strunk Designs and has brought the same cosmopolitan design sensibility from DC to North Carolina. Her custom designs and creative approach is delighting customers throughout the Triangle region.
