With a heavy heart, we wanted to share that Grass Assassins of SC will be ceasing landscaping for the foreseeable future.

As many of you know, I’m a full-time diesel mechanic and a Youth Pastor. Over the past season, this business has grown in ways we never expected—but with that growth has come more time pulled away from ministry and from our family. I once heard a pastor say, “A blessing in the wrong season becomes a burden.” And after much prayer, we believe that stepping back is the right decision for this season of our lives.

To every single person who trusted us with your yards, believed in our work, and let us bring your landscape visions to life—thank you. Your support has meant the world to us.

We don’t know what the future holds, but we know Who holds it.

What a fun job this was! We go the pleasure to help out Terri get her yard to the way she wanted it! The back of the yard was steep and we made a nice stone lined bed with new mulch in place on the steep grade. As well as matching and raising the retaining wall on the side of the yard to enclose the area for a secondary bed.

Hey there!

My name is Ty Ferrell, and this is my beautiful (and much better) half, Kelly. Together we’re blessed with three amazing kiddos who truly are the joy of our lives!

Outside of starting Grass Assassins, I serve as a Youth Pastor and also work full-time as a heavy-duty mobile diesel mechanic. Kelly stays home, homeschooling our children and making sure we have a cozy, faith-filled place to return to each day.

We’ve always loved being outdoors, and that passion led us to finally step out in faith and start our landscaping company, Grass Assassins. The heart behind this venture is more than just lawns—it’s about giving the high school students in our ministry (as well as out) the opportunity to work outside, build friendships, grow in meaningful conversation, and end each day knowing they gave their best.
That’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

Now, the name and brand may come across as playful, but rest assured—our services are anything but.
Our motto, “Your Turf. Our Target.” speaks to the excellence we bring to every job, big or small. We treat each yard as if it were our own.
