🏡 AVERY REVIEWS A HOUSE PLAN

Okay, I think we’re going to start something new around here…

I look at house plans ALL. THE. TIME. So when I find one that makes me stop scrolling, I’m going to share it with you guys and tell you what I think!

First up: Brandon Oaks by Advanced House Plans.

And honestly… I think this one is pretty awesome. 😍 But here’s what I REALLY want to know: Are people still interested in building two-level homes?!

We see so much demand for ranch-style homes these days that I’m genuinely curious how people feel about putting the bedrooms upstairs again.

Would you build a home like this?

Ever walk into a house and hear every floorboard announce you? That’s exactly what this step is built to prevent.
Before a single subfloor panel goes down, every joist gets a bead of Advantech’s subfloor adhesive. It starts as a gel, then cures into a permanent bond so the floor and the framing move as one piece instead of squeaking against each other for the next 30 years. On top of that, we run a moisture resistant, tongue and groove panel rated well above standard builder grade OSB. Another detail nobody thinks about once the flooring’s down, but one you’ll notice every time you walk across the room and it’s dead silent.

COLES COUNTY — If you’re thinking about building, this could save you BIG money.

The new residential Enterprise Zone offers qualifying homeowners:

🏠 5 years of property tax abatement on the new home value
🔨 No sales tax on qualifying building materials

For example, if a $400,000 home would normally have around $7,000+ in annual property taxes, that’s potentially tens of thousands of dollars saved over 5 years.

And in Hunter’s Glen, some vacant lots currently have property taxes of only about $21.50/year.
