The Gaillard Center hosted an inspiring evening for Blood Cancer United’s Charleston Gala, and AVIV was proud to be among the sponsors supporting the event. ❤️

The evening celebrated two incredible 7-year-old heroes, Claire and her best friend Atticus. During their fight against Leukemia at MUSC Children’s Hospital, they spent nearly every day together supporting one another through some of life’s toughest moments. While they couldn’t have visitors, they had each other and formed a friendship that continues today.

We’re grateful to share that both Claire and Atticus left MUSC healthy last spring and are now thriving, living normal, happy lives again. Their journey would not have been possible without the support of organizations like Blood Cancer United and the dedicated medical teams caring for children and families every day.

This cause holds a special place in our hearts, as Claire is the niece of AVIV Co-Owner Mike Schmidt.
