Viking Electric / had 8 incredible women, from throughout our Minnesota/Wisconsin/Chicagoland footprint, participate in our Electrical Industry Habitat for Humanity Chicago Women Build Day. With the purpose of building woman-owned, affordable homes and supporting financial stability.

On Friday, 70 women in the electrical industry came together to build homes in Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood.

Laura Scott, a sales specialist with Viking Electric, organized the event as part of Habitat for Humanity's Women Build initiative.

The homes will go to four first-time homeowners. Laura and Viking also raised nearly $30,000 to help the homeowners secure a sustainable mortgage.

Congrats to Laura, Viking, and the 70 person crew for building these four homes!
