Build an array with real clearance underneath, and the ground keeps earning its keep.
Atlasta Solar Center installed a resilient agrivoltaic solar and storage system for The Storm Cellar in West Elks, CO. After installation, the vineyard set a long table under the panels and served dinner β vines on one side, guests in the shade of the array, everything still producing.
That's the case for going to the ground. Not land taken out of use. Land doing two jobs.
