This week, our team celebrated the topping out of Sugar Creek, a 350-unit mixed-use development in Charlotte. Reaching this point is a significant accomplishment and a reflection of the dedication, coordination, and hard work this project team has put in over the past several months.

Last week, we were honored to join the Durham Housing Authority, community leaders, residents, and project partners to celebrate the official groundbreaking of Villages of Hayti in Durham, NC. This long-awaited development marks a significant milestone for the historic Hayti community and the future of affordable housing in Durham.

Once complete, Villages of Hayti will provide 252 affordable apartment homes, helping expand access to quality housing while honoring the rich history and legacy of this neighborhood.

We are proud to partner with Greystone and Moseley Inc. in bringing this long-awaited project to life and look forward to building a community that will serve Durham residents for generations to come.

Another topping out milestone is in the books for CHC! 👏🏼

This week, we celebrated exciting progress at our William E. Murray Apartments project in Charleston alongside our client, Zimmer Development Company, and our incredible trade partners. To mark the occasion, the team gathered onsite for a celebratory lunch and raffle made possible through the generosity of our subcontractors and vendors.

This 250-unit multifamily community is continuing to take shape, and we’re excited to keep pushing this project forward!

As a conclusion to Safety Week, we reviewed safety audit reports from the past year conducted by Paragon Safety Group across all CHC jobsites. Two teams stood out for their outstanding commitment to jobsite safety.

Integra NoDa in Charlotte earned the highest overall average safety rating company-wide with a 95%. Markley Square in Greenville followed closely behind with a 94% overall average safety rating.

These recognitions reflect the daily commitment each team brings to maintaining safe, organized, and proactive jobsites.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day to close out Construction Safety Week. Today, our final safety stand down took place at the Midtown Junction project in Wilmington.

A special thank you to the teams at Sunbelt Rentals and Paragon Safety Group for leading impactful discussions on equipment safety, ladder safety, and fall protection.

We also had the opportunity to recognize five individuals from our subcontractor partners who consistently go above and beyond in promoting safe practices on site and helping maintain a safe working environment for everyone.

Rain or shine, safety stays the #1 priority!

Today our team held a Construction Safety Week stand down at the Kannon at Wendell Falls project in Raleigh, NC. Even with the rain moving us indoors, engagement from our teams remained strong.

During the event, we proudly presented four safety awards to subcontractors for their commitment to maintaining a safe jobsite.

Special thanks to Dave Clewely with Doggett Concrete Construction for leading today’s Toolbox Talk on Respect, and to Paragon Safety Group for another impactful fall safety demonstration!
