A new Charleston-area entertainment space is opening up to more possibilities.

Work is progressing at the upcoming Frankie's Fun Park in the Charleston area, where the Maxson team is installing a DoorWall Systems operable wall.

Cathryn Wickerham recently led the Batson Associates, Inc. team in in a Lunch and Learn focused on life-safety challenges in healthcare occupancies. The conversation covered opening protectives, elevator smoke containment, and design options that can address code requirements without losing sight of the architect's intent.

Healthcare projects bring complex conditions, and the right answer depends on the adopted code, occupancy, building configuration, and authority having jurisdiction.
