There’s the scullery, tucked quietly behind the main kitchen with its own sink, counter space, and moody black cabinetry for prep work and storage out of sight (and mind).

Upstairs, a cozy sitting nook off the landing turns unused ballfway space into a place to actually sit and unwind.

This home doesn’t settle for one dining space, it has two, and each brings its own personality. The first pairs a dramatic fringe chandelier with a long travertine table and curved, sculptural chairs, all framed by floor to ceiling windows that flood the room with natural light. This entryway sets the tone for everything that follows. A sculptural, curved staircase, seems to float against soft plaster walls, ceilings stretch up into the light, and a cascading chandelier anchors the whole space without overpowering it.

Just off to the side, a moody little office nook proves that “extra” spaces can still feel like a main event. Deep olive walls, a built-in bookshelf glowing with warm backlighting, and a wall of windows overlooking the trees make this the kind of room that makes work feel a little less like work.

Every detail here was intentional, right down to the arched hallway with its hidden lighting and that way natural light pours through the space. It’s the kind of entryway that makes you want to slow down before you even reach the living room.

For this Mooresville home, we built out a fireplace that does more than just heat the room - it anchors it. Floor-to-ceiling black stone, a thick reclaimed wood mantle with all its natural character intact, and an arched alcove that frames the whole thing perfectly between two symmetrical doorways.
