2023 CFESA Conference in San Antonio, Texas celebrating 60 years of Cfesa HQ! 🤠

Shannon, VP of CFESA, thoroughly enjoyed all the conference offerings and even met an awesome celeb! Chef Robert IrvineRobert Irvine was the keynote speaker this year and it was a pleasure to both listen to his speech as well as converse after. He is a wonderful person to meet!

Shannon also got to throw it back to the '70s and perform a skit of what it was like to be a dispatcher in the 70s with her friend and CFESA member, Angela!

Seminars, education, discussion panels, and more, there is also something new to learn in this fast-growing industry. ACES is thankful to have so many friends and colleagues all over the country who can grow together & educate generations to come.

The world lost an incredible chef & person yesterday. Authorized sends our love & condolences to the Angus Barn family, Walter's family & loved ones. He was a humble & gracious man of many talents. He will be sorely missed my all. Rest easy chef.

Walter Royal 5/18/1956 – 5/22/2023

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we sadly mourn the loss of Chef Walter Royal.

He was the Angus Barn’s Executive Chef for more than a quarter of a century, receiving many accolades including winning Iron Chef America in 2006. His spirit, kindness, and desire to mentor others was legendary. He set the example for a life well lived, even in the face of adversity. His legacy will live forever, and he will be greatly missed by so very many.

May he rest in peace.
