🚨Important notice for those enrolled in the EnergyWise Home program with Duke Energy⚡

We've gotten word that Duke will be operating "load controls" today between 5:30pm-7:30pm‼️

In a "load control event," Duke reduces HVAC energy usage automatically for customers enrolled in EnergyWise Home.

How do they reduce energy usage?
➡️ If you've enrolled via smart thermostat, Duke adjusts your thermostat to a higher temperature. Depending on brand of thermostat, you MAY get a notification.
➡️If you have an EnergyWise device connected to your air conditioner, they simply shut the system down for a period of time.

If your system is shut down as part of EnergyWise, we unfortunately can't help with this!

How to know if this affects you:
▪️You get a credit on your monthly Duke Energy bill
▪️You purchased a Nest thermostat from Duke
▪️You also must have an ELECTRIC HVAC system
▪️You can check your online Duke Energy account

You SIGNED UP for this program. Duke does not force it or auto-enroll.
