They discussed the timing of the thinning and how long to allow the remaining trees to grow before making any additional land management decisions, taking into account current and anticipated timber markets. AFM and AFM Real Estate attended the 79th Annual Louisiana Forestry Meeting on August 18-20, 2026, at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, LA. Cliff Ryland, Regional Technical Forester, created this piece for donation at the silent auction, and it sold for over $200. Proceeds from the auction are used for forest industry advocacy and forestry education.

Our team enjoyed connecting with other industry partners and leaders, and we’re grateful to the LFA for hosting!

We’re excited to introduce our Farmington district, serving western Maine and New Hampshire, an area known for long-term forest management and a wide variety of recreation opportunities across its mountains, hills, and valleys. Matt Jacobs serves as Region Manager, and Bill Haslam serves as District Manager.

This dedicated group manages approximately 450,000 acres, supporting a wide range of landowners, from large private landholdings to small private, public, and institutional properties.
